If you like riding road bikes, then Central Maine is a great place to be in the Spring, Summer or Fall.
Do you enjoy long solo rides on quiet back roads, challenging group rides, maybe a charity ride or race? No matter what, it’s happening here in the Lewiston/Auburn area.

If you are spending time in Central Maine and want to know where to ride, check out the Maine Cycling Club, based in Auburn, Maine. The club boasts over 150 members of all ability levels. They are a group of recreational riders who get together regularly for road biking. New riders are always welcome to join the fun. Road bikes are recommended but not absolutely necessary.
Rides start in mid-April and continue into late September. Weeknight rides leave from Auburn at 6pm most evenings and there are often weekend destination rides. The club also sponsors a Road Race weekend, a Time trial, a Cyclo-cross race along with putting teams together for the Trek Across Maine in June and the Dempsey Challenge in October.
On the web: www.MaineCyclingClub.com for ride schedules, maps and activities. If you don’t have access to a computer, call Rainbow Bicycle and Fitness at 207-784-7576 for more information.
