Maine Maritime Museum, Bath, Maine
With this ‘unsettled’ early summer weather we’ve been having, it’s a perfect time to take in the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath. There’s too may outstanding exhibits to list – but historians, mariners, families and anyone in love with the sea will find it a memorable and satisfying visit. My kids and I visited the museum again today, we’re not quite regulars, but we’ve been there a few times. We always learn something new, and we especially enjoyed the War of 1812 exhibit.
Welcome to the Maine Maritime Museum!

The museum has a world-class marine art collection.
Maine Maritime has some VERY cool and educational dioramas
The newly constructed 'Pirates Paradise' ship is a great playground for kids to blow off some steam.
The scale models of historic ships are simply AMAZING!
There's a full-scale art installation of the 'Wyoming' on the museum campus. (a 400+ foot vessel!)
My favorite image of the museum, part of their impressive lobstering exhibit.
