This USATF certified FREE race was first held in 2015 to help Maine’s most prominent mill town, which was devastated by the closing of their major employer. Runner’s World Magazine picked up the story shortly after, and as they say, the rest is history! Although the race is free for participants, we do have some essential race services we need to fund. These costs include: insurance, bib numbers, race timing, bus transportation, port-a-johns, as well as a few other professional services. Anything raised above and beyond our essential race expenses will be donated to Millinocket area charitable groups or organizations.
