DESCRIPTION:A Beer Festival with more than just beer\nOver 20 craft beverage producers from across Maine will be serving samples all day in the streets of historic downtown Gardiner\, Maine. Learn about all about the varieties of beers\, wines\, ciders\, rums\, meads\, and more from those who know it best – the people who make it! \nSwine and Stein Brewfest was first held in 2009 and is Gardiner’s most popular event of the year. Sample Maine’s variety of craft beverage producers and taste the day away with craft beer\, wine\, spirits\, hard cider\, and mead in an open air beer garden along historic downtown Water Street. Organized by Gardiner Main Street\, this annual fall beer festival also features a full lineup of great music\, tasty food vendors\, fun games and entertainment all day long. \nALL DAY SAMPLING\nFrom barrel aged beers to award winning rum\, you’ll enjoy brews and blends not always found at the store\, for a true handcrafted\, small batch experience. To tantalize all taste buds\, hard cider\, wine\, craft spirits and mead will also be on tap. Enjoy local favorites as well as brewers from across the state as they pour their best brews. Taste the day away with all day sampling – no beer tickets needed! General admission begins at 1pm\, or come early for the exclusive VIP tasting hour at 12pm. \nBeer samples will be 4oz\, spirits will be 0.5oz samples and wine will be 1.5 oz samples for responsible enjoyment throughout the event. A complimentary tasting glass is included with admission. \nA PARTY IN THE STREET\nWe’re partnering with Johnson Hall to create a day filled with outstanding music lineup of Maine’s best and emerging bands. \nCrowd pleasing quirky games will include favorites and new additions. The crowd favorite Beard and Mustache competition returns for its 8th year\, as contestants groom\, style\, and dress their facial hair in the hope of being named “best in show.” Last year a schnauzer dog named Betty took that prize! Entertainment continues in the beer garden and on stage for the intense Rock Paper Scissors Championship\, Corn Hole\, Giant Jenga and a Frozen T-shirt Race and a Pass The Pigs tournament! \nDON’T FORGET THE PORK!\nAn array of food trucks and local restaurants will be serving up incredible pork varieties\, along with other creative dishes to tantalize your taste buds. The Blind Pig Tavern will host a pig roast and they’ll be joined on the street by Pinky D’s Poutine Factory\, Smokey & Brines\, Bao & Beyond and more. \nPurchase your all-inclusive tasting tickets today and support Gardiner Main Street’s annual fundraiser. General Admission tickets are $40 through October 8 and $45 the day of the event. Access the premier VIP tasting hour from 12 to 1pm for $50 through October 8 or $55 the day of the event.
