DESCRIPTION:Everyone’s favorite hill workout disguised as a race is back for the 22nd running. Is it the hardest 5K in the state? Maybe. But it might also be the most fun. \nLast year\, we had a record number of registrations and this year\, we’re looking to do even better. But with the same hills\, because you can’t have a race in Waldoboro without hills. \nOnce again\, Moody’s Diner will have a whoopie pie table set up mid-race so you can grab a quick snack and Dow Furniture will have a “rest area” in case you get tired. This year\, Morse’s Sauerkraut will be providing recovery pickle juice shots at the finish line. \nWe’ll have prizes for the top 3 male and female finishers\, plus a prize if you can beat your time from last year. DESCRIPTION:This year’s event will take place on Saturday\, June 22nd at the Belfast Rail Trail! \nPaces for PAWS is a dog friendly event so please bring your best canine companions to participate in the festivities (don’t forget leashes\, please)! \nWith this event\, we hope to provide an opportunity for people of all ages in our community to help homeless and abandoned animals receive the medical care\, shelter and companionship they need until their forever homes are found. \nAll proceeds from this event will go to support the animals at PAWS. \nEvent check-in will begin at 7:30 AM next to the parking lot by the Armistice Footbridge on the waterfront (corner of Pierce & Water St.)\, with the 5k Race beginning at 8:30 AM. \nIf running isn’t your thing\, you can still join in on the fun! The 1 mile Pledge Walk will begin at 8:45 AM (please arrive for check-in by 8:30 AM). \nWalk with your dogs\, kids or friends; come out in silly hats or costumes; make it your own and most importantly\, have some fun! \nCome join us! DESCRIPTION:Canada and the USA: Two countries four events – Marathon\, Half Marathon\, Ultramarathon\, 10K. Plus a Fun Run\, running tour of Lubec\, Lobster bake\, street fair\, and more. Run from the most easterly point in the USA through the border into Canada (without stopping) and back. Or just run from Canada into the USA in the half marathon. A not for profit Boston Qualifying event put on by the communities of Campobello Island\, New Brunswick and Lubec\, Maine\, now in it’s seventh year. An event for the discerning runner – all fields capped at 350 runners; no crowds or traffic lights; beautiful scenery\, fishing villages and the world’s biggest tides; bald eagles\, seals\, sometimes whales seen from the course; medals and awards handcrafted by local artists; warm welcoming hospitality.

SUMMARY:Cowtrail Classic 5k
DESCRIPTION:The family friendly 5K race will be held on the trails around Pineland Farm\, beginning and ending at the Dairy Barn. The 5k race will begin promptly at 9 a.m. with a kids fun run beginning at 8:45am. We welcome any and all participants for this race\, although baby strollers are not recommended due to the nature of the terrain (jogging strollers at your own judgment\, and dogs are strictly prohibited from Pineland property (do not leave dogs in your car either)\, so please plan accordingly. There will be plenty of prizes\, chocolate milk and other nutritious dairy snacks for the racers. It’s a great opportunity to meet dairy farmers and help raise money for a great cause. Proceeds will be donated to the Milk2MyPlate program. \nCost to register for the 5k is $10 for children 17 and younger\, 5 and under are free. Prices will go up to $15 on June 1st. Cost for adults 18 and older is $20 until May 31st\, $25 from June 1-June 29. Registration on-line is available until 7 p.m. on June 28th. Registration will be available on the day of the race 7a.m. – 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot by the barn. Please come early. Race packet pick up will begin at 7:30 a.m.\, also at the barn. T-shirts will be guaranteed only to those who register by June 1\, remainders will be first come\, first serve.
