DESCRIPTION:The 54th annual 2022 MTC Turkey Trot 5K is a live road race taking place at 9 am on Sunday\, November 20\, at the Cape Elizabeth Middle School\, Cape Elizabeth\, Maine.\nThere’s also at virtual 5K option\, from Nov. 7 through Nov. 20. \nThe MTC Turkey Trot 5k road race is a USATF certified course held in Cape Elizabeth\, Maine. Over the past 5 years the MTC Turkey Trot 5k has raised nearly $25\,000 and donated over 10\,000 lbs. of food to its beneficiary\, Wayside Food Programs. The Maine Track Club appreciates all runners\, volunteers and sponsors that contribute to this race; it is because of you that Wayside Food Programs can help so many that would otherwise go hungry. \nThe free kids’ run will take place at 8:30 am – it’s a .0.25 mile out-and-back or a 0.5 mile two loop out-and-back. \nAll 5K runners registered through Oct. 31 will receive a race T-shirt. \nRace proceeds and food donations benefit Wayside Food Programs. \nYou will be notified by email if we have to cancel the live road race. DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\nPLACE\n31 Union Street\nAugusta\, ME US 04347\n\n\n\n\nDESCRIPTION\n\n\nWe are proceeding with a live event this year\, however\, things may change should covid19 continue to be a threat to the community.  We have included a virtual run for those who would rather run their race their way or cannot travel to Augusta to participate in the live timed event. \nWe need your support more than ever.  Covid19 has swept across the United States closing businesses\, disrupting the health and safety of our community.  Lung cancer patients are at greater risk\, as the disease attacks the lungs. \nAwards ceremony will be held at Bateau Brewing in Gardiner immediately after the race.  All winners must be present at Bateau Brewing to receive their prize.  This event is a fundraiser to help support Free ME from Lung Cancer’s mission ~ research\, help uninsured high risk patients get access to early detection via low dose CT scans\, help single family low income homeowners get access to radon air abatement systems and to help covid19 relief funds in Maine hospitals to help keet the high risk patients and front line workers safe.    Please consider making an extra donation when you register or set up a fundraising page so that your family\, friends and coworkers can support your run.  Those raising $100.00 or more will get a free registration.  Those raising $100 or more will receive a token to use when registering. This is one of two events that support our foundation’s programs. On-line donations are processed at 6%.  This supports RunSignUp web portal. \nWith last year’s money we issued two grants for covid relief funds to area hospitals\, provided 250 lung cancer care bags\, set aside $15000 for our radon abatement program and $12000 for our early lung cancer screening program.  We are also working with the Dana Farber Cancer Insitute to fund a $100\,000 research grant per year for two years to support a fellow researcher.  We couldn’t do all this work without your support. \nWe are all looking forward to seeing you all down at the finish line on November 6th. SUMMARY:MTC Farm to Farm Ultra Run – Virtual 2021
DESCRIPTION:The Farm To Farm Ultra Run is a long-distance\, road running event usually held in Freeport and Brunswick. This year\, however\, it will be a virtual-only event. Distance options are 12.5K\, 25K\, 50K and 50 miles. This event is part of the Maine Track Club Grand Prix Series\, and participants are allowed to register for more than one distance\, earning points for each distance they complete. A separate registration is required for each distance\, however\, and each distance must be completed at a different time (for example\, if you complete the 50K\, that distance can’t also be used toward the 12.5K and 25K). \nThe entry fee for each event is $25 with no t-shirt included\, or $35 if you’d like to receive a shirt. \nParticipant will have the entire month of November to complete their chosen distance(s) and submit results.

Gardiner’s most popular event of the year returns with all day samples from over 20 of Maine’s best breweries\, wineries and distilleries in an open air beer festival along historic downtown Water Street.  \nAn array of food trucks and local restaurants will be serving up incredible pork varieties\, including a pig roast from the Blind Pig Tavern\, along with other creative dishes to tantalize your taste buds. That’s only 4.3 miles…even a leprechaun can do it!\nBy participating in our race you’re not only searching for that pot o’ gold but you’re helping fill backpacks full of food for our After School Program kids. Now\, that is something to “cheers” to!\nFirst 40 7K registrants receive a winter race hat!\nPrizes given for overall male/female finisher and male/female finishers in each age category.\n\nWave 1 starts at 9:00 AM. A second wave at 10:30 AM has been added\, with 15 spots left at the time of this posting. Registration ends March 19\, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT\n\nWe hope you’ll come Shamrock this run with us!\nSlainte!\n**Please note that due to COVID-19 a normal race schedule is altered.\nWaves are limited to 40 people we can properly social distance all participants and volunteers so there will not be any group larger than the Maine CDC guidelines of 100 people outdoors at any one time. We ask everyone to keep a safe distance form other participants at the start line.\nProtective Face Coverings: We ask runners to wear a mask\, face covering or buff at the start of the race\, during the race\, and at the race site after finishing. All other attendees (event staff\, volunteers) are required to wear a mask during the event.\nPre-Race Communication: A pre-race email will be sent out to all registrants prior to race day reviewing bib pickup timing\, the event morning itinerary\, etc. We will incorporate all the additional safety protocols in this email that will be required to have the event on race morning. In addition\, we recommend that anyone in an at-risk category not participate in the actual event. We will ask the proper safety questions and administer a temperature check at bib pickup and also request anyone answering yes to any of these questions stay home:\n• Have you been exposed to anyone that has or had COVID-19 in the past two weeks?\n• Are you experiencing any Symptoms of COVID-19 including dry cough\, fever or trouble breathing?\nWater Stations: We encourage runners to bring their own fluids to hydrate prior to\, during and after the event. We will only hand out bottled water at one water station on the course and at the race site finish line and volunteers will wear gloves.\nFinish Line Flow: We will have volunteers/staff at the finish line to help facilitate moving quickly through the finish line area into the large parking areas and ask that you do not linger around after the race.\nAwards / Results: Results will be posted through Run Sign Up after the race and we top finishers will be announced through AYCC Facebook Live. Award winners can pick up their awards at the AYCC.

A three day derby with great prizes for the three largest togue along with a Grand Door Prize and great fish pool prizes! \nCome join us for a fun weekend to celebrate the ice fishing tradition of the Moosehead Lake Region. \nThree prizes will be awarded for the first\, second\, & third largest togue. Winners will be ranked by weight.
