DESCRIPTION:Join Maine Yoga Adventures and Acadia Mountain Guides for ice climbing and a snowshoe hike in Acadia National Park. MYA will serve up yummy vegetarian food\, offer up deep yoga stretches\, and hot tub soaking! \nOur adventure will begin in Bar Harbor for a round of ice climbing and snowshoeing with the exceptional Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School who deliver professional\, state-of-the-art instruction by highly skilled and very fun guides. \nAdventurers will have challenging and satisfying full day of outdoor explorations. The guides will tailor our climbing experience to our level. Beginners welcome! \nWe’ll follow up ice climbing with a snowshoe hike which was a blast last year! Acadia Mountain Guides took us up Dorr Mountain with gorgeous views up top and at the base. Fingers crossed for piles and piles of snow! \nNo worries about gear\, Acadia Mountain Guides provide Double Boots\, Crampons/Micro Spikes\, Technical Ice Axes\, Harness\, Helmet\, and anything else you could possibly need to make the bliss of ice climbing happen. \nPost climb adventurers will head back to Alpenglow in downtown Bar Harbor for super yummy hot vegetarian soup and leg stretching happiness. We’ll have plenty of space on nice wood floors with the store emptied out til spring. \nWith bellies full\, we’ll head off for a luxurious soak in the hot tub at Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center. SUMMARY:Maine Huts & Trails Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Join Maine Yoga Adventures on a third adventure with Maine Huts & Trails. This time\, we’re mixing it up! \nBegin adventuring on a groomed trail to beautiful Flagstaff Hut\, about 2 miles away. The trail has gentle inclines and declines\, but is generally flat. Adventurers cross-country ski or snowshoe. \nSome of us will take it slow (no fear beginners!) others may enjoy a brisker pace. Lisa Carter from Maine Bound will be our co-leader\, helping out adventurers along the way. All are responsible for backpacking their own gear in – pack light. \nOnce at the hut\, unload gear and head back out for more skiing and/or snowshoeing. We’ll also practice some snoga (yoga in the snow) – fun! \nAfter skiing\, warm up in front of the fire in the stunning Flagstaff Hut. The hut offers up fantastic vegetarian food (dinner\, breakfast and lunch)! The adventure will begin with a guided snowshoe through the woods beside the river. We’ll practice snoga in our snowshoes; no worries\, absolute beginners welcome. Adventurers will warm up inside the Hirundo shelter with hot drinks and vegetarian soup.
