DESCRIPTION:The Portland Sea Dogs and the Maine Track Club will host the Mother’s Day 5K Road Race\, presented by InterMed\, on Sunday\, May 11th at 9:15 am. There will also be a Kids Run beginning at 8:30 am\, which is free of charge. \nSlugger and his Mom lead the way on the flat 5K course which begins in front of the Portland Expo building\, travels down Park Avenue\, turns down St. John Street\, and makes a right onto Noyes Street\, a right onto Oakdale Street\, a left onto Falmouth Street\, a right onto Durham Street\, a right onto Bedford Street\, a left onto Deering Avenue\, a left into Deering Oaks and follows the Oaks and exits Deering Oaks taking a right onto Deering Avenue and crosses the street to the entrance to Fitzpatrick where the runners will run behind the bleachers into centerfield and finishes in front of the third base dugout. \nThe top overall male and female finishers will receive a trophy\, a pair of 2025 Season Tickets for the remainder of the 2025 Sea Dogs season and throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to a future Sea Dogs game. The top three male and female finishers in each age group will also be presented with awards. All race participants will receive a complimentary ticket to attend a future 2025 Sea Dogs game. \nRegister Here (Price increases after April 11\, 2025 at 11:59pm EDT). \nProceeds from the race go to the American Cancer Society to support breast cancer patients and research.\nThe mission of the American Cancer Society is to save lives\, celebrate lives\, and lead the fight for a world without cancer. SUMMARY:East Grand Adventure Race
DESCRIPTION:For Adults\, youth and Families!\nThe 20-mile race will consist of four parts\, 1st an off-trail compass run 1+ miles\, 2nd mountain biking route for approx. 10 miles on woods roads & trails. 3rd is canoeing or kayaking for 8 miles on Baskahegan Stream. Note: distances are approximate\, KAYAKS are WELCOME in all divisions. Challenges may include new and past challenges such as the mud pit crawl\, scaling wall\, culvert crawl\, log rolling and environmental challenge.\nRace Summary\nCourse Changes Yearly with the course being about 20 miles including an off trail compass run approximately 1 mile. The other legs of the race involve 10 miles of mountain biking on woods roads and trails\, 8 miles of canoeing/kayaking\, as well as challenges along the way. \nDivisions\nRace in pairs in the High School Boys\, Girls\, Adult Men\, Women\, Jr./Sr.\, (Jr./Sr. minimum age is 12 and must compete with an adult). Additionally the Family division is for kids/teens with parents/mentors and can be 2 or more people. The family division includes the compass run and paddle legs and leaves out the bike leg. The Open division (can be any size group\, relay\, solo\, race boats\, etc.). \n34 Mile Flat Water Race (a separate race from the adventure race)\nFrom the headwaters of the Baskahegan Stream in Kossuth to Bancroft. This runs simultaneously with the Adventure Race as a paddle only option. DESCRIPTION:Sample 5 seasonal specialty beers while enjoying the incredible ambiance of The Cellars at Allagash\, our wild and sour barrel aging space located at 100 Industrial Way (adjacent to our public Tasting Room). If you are looking for a more traditional brewery tour\, check out our “Taste of Allagash Origin Tour” which begins in the brewhouse and ends in our wild barrel room. \nThe experience includes a welcome sample of Allagash White. Through March & April we are tasting: Cur-8 barrel/lager collaboration beer\, North Sky Stout\, Allagash Cider\, and Once Upon an Orchard with Cherries tart barrel blend. Final pour is a “choose your own adventure” sample between two rotating options. There will be time at the end to purchase beer & merch to go\, or additional pours. If you are not a fan of sour beer\, don’t worry! We provide alternatives. \nThis is a production space so sadly dogs are not allowed. DESCRIPTION:Join us for (one hour) Trivia in the brewhouse with our friend Megh.\nThe questions will commence every Friday starting promptly at 6 pm. We recommend arriving early to get settled as missed questions are not repeated. Tickets are free but reservations are strongly recommended as we’ve been packed recently! Walk-ins are not guaranteed a seat\, but we’ll absolutely do our best to squeeze you in\, if we can. If you are making a reservation for your team\, please account for all the members of your team. Groups can be up to six players. Bite Into Maine will be here for all of your tasty dinner or snacking needs. As always we’ll have delicious beer\, wine\, cider\, and n/a bevs flowing.
