DESCRIPTION:Join Fleet Feet Maine Running every Tuesday\, Thursday and Saturday morning for this free winter program to help motivate you to stay active in the winter time.  \nThis program is for walkers\, runners and exercise fiends. We don’t care\, we just want you to stay active this winter and have fun with our free\, social group! One rule – no whining about the weather or else we can poke fun at you. \nThe program is completely free and includes:  \nFirst night is on January 2! SUMMARY:Moonlight Snowshoe
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beautiful hike at the Yankee Woodlot! This is a great hike for beginners who want to come out for a nice walk in the woods. We’ll use headlamps and flashlights to illuminate the way. The total hike will be about 1.0 miles with little elevation gain. This is a great way to begin your weekend and a great activity for all ages and abilities. Well behaved dogs are welcome\, but remember to bring poop bags. Be sure to bring water and snowshoes! If you need a pair of snowshoes\, you can reserve them by going to the event description on our calendar page which can be accessed through the link provided. The event is free\, and the equipment is free to use!

DESCRIPTION:Hang up your tired equipment for the day and test out the high-quality goods from the top independent ski and snowboard brands around. To register\, head to the Welcome Center in the South Ridge Lodge with your credit card and ID\, fill out the necessary paperwork and hit the slopes. All you’ll need is your own ski or snowboard boots\, and a lift ticket or season pass. \nTo demo\, come to the Welcome Center at South Ridge between 8 AM-Noon to register. Then you can pick up your demos slopeside just above the Chondola base starting at 8 AM. All skis/snowboards need to be returned by 2 PM. \nTest out the latest gear from brands like Amalgam\, Parlor\, Meier\, North East Ski Company\, Winterstick Snowboards \, and West Mountain Ski Co.

DESCRIPTION:Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation invites disabled veterans\, active-duty personnel\, and wounded warriors from all over the country along with their families and caregivers for four days of camaraderie\, skiing\, and self-discovery. \nSince 2006 Maine Adaptive has hosted a four-day winter sports retreat at Sunday River Ski Resort in late January / early February. SUMMARY:Rangeley Pond Hockey Festival.
DESCRIPTION:The New England Pond Hockey Festival is held annually in spectacular Rangeley Maine\, on the first weekend in February. Last year teams competed in four divisions in an event to celebrate a time honored New England tradition. Numerous rinks are created and maintained by fantastic volunteers on beautiful Haley Pond in downtown Rangeley. Hospitality tents and hay bale seating is provided for spectators.
