DESCRIPTION:Join us for the annual Moosehead Lake week-long fishing derby\, March 6-13\, 2021. \nIn memory of Maggie “The Bait Lady” \n40th Annual Moosehead Lake Ice Fishing Derby \n1st\, 2nd\, 3rd Place Salmon\, Brook Trout\, Togue and 1st Place Cusk \nSponsored By: Blue Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club \nTickets are $10 and are available at the following places: Moosehead Bait and Rockwood Convenience\, Lucky Bait and Indian Hill \n1st Place Salmon\, Brook Trout and Togue = $75.00 + Trophy \n2nd Place Salmon\, Brook Trout and Togue = $50 + Trophy \n3rd Place Salmon\, Brook Trout and Togue = $25.00 + Trophy \n1st Place Cusk = $50.00 + Trophy \nOfficial Weigh-In Location: Moosehead Bait and Tackle\, Rockwood \nHours of Weigh-In: 1pm to 5pm\, 12pm on the 7th \nScales close at 4pm sharp Saturday the 13th.  \nYou must present your ticket stub at time of weigh-in. \nDoor Prize: Eskimo 10? Gas Rocket Ice Auger Model: F1R10 \nEvery derby ticket sold will be a chance to win the auger! \nUnfortunately\, there will be no dinner or raffle this year.  \nBenefits: $500 to plow the Kineo Docks in Rockwood and the remainder will go to Life Flight of Maine.

DESCRIPTION:Hey Lads and Lasses! Buckle up those loafers and join us for the 1st Annual Lucky 7K & Little Leprechaun 1K Dash. That’s only 4.3 miles…even a leprechaun can do it!\nBy participating in our race you’re not only searching for that pot o’ gold but you’re helping fill backpacks full of food for our After School Program kids. Now\, that is something to “cheers” to!\nFirst 40 7K registrants receive a winter race hat!\nPrizes given for overall male/female finisher and male/female finishers in each age category.\n\nWave 1 starts at 9:00 AM. A second wave at 10:30 AM has been added\, with 15 spots left at the time of this posting. Registration ends March 19\, 2021 at 11:59pm EDT\n\nWe hope you’ll come Shamrock this run with us!\nSlainte!\n**Please note that due to COVID-19 a normal race schedule is altered.\nWaves are limited to 40 people we can properly social distance all participants and volunteers so there will not be any group larger than the Maine CDC guidelines of 100 people outdoors at any one time. We ask everyone to keep a safe distance form other participants at the start line.\nProtective Face Coverings: We ask runners to wear a mask\, face covering or buff at the start of the race\, during the race\, and at the race site after finishing. All other attendees (event staff\, volunteers) are required to wear a mask during the event.\nPre-Race Communication: A pre-race email will be sent out to all registrants prior to race day reviewing bib pickup timing\, the event morning itinerary\, etc. We will incorporate all the additional safety protocols in this email that will be required to have the event on race morning. In addition\, we recommend that anyone in an at-risk category not participate in the actual event. We will ask the proper safety questions and administer a temperature check at bib pickup and also request anyone answering yes to any of these questions stay home:\n• Have you been exposed to anyone that has or had COVID-19 in the past two weeks?\n• Are you experiencing any Symptoms of COVID-19 including dry cough\, fever or trouble breathing?\nWater Stations: We encourage runners to bring their own fluids to hydrate prior to\, during and after the event. We will only hand out bottled water at one water station on the course and at the race site finish line and volunteers will wear gloves.\nFinish Line Flow: We will have volunteers/staff at the finish line to help facilitate moving quickly through the finish line area into the large parking areas and ask that you do not linger around after the race.\nAwards / Results: Results will be posted through Run Sign Up after the race and we top finishers will be announced through AYCC Facebook Live. Award winners can pick up their awards at the AYCC.

DESCRIPTION:Join Maine’s Maple Syrup Producers statewide as they celebrate Maine Maple Sunday.\nMost sugarhouses offer free maple syrup samples and demonstrations on how pure Maine maple syrup is made. Many farms offer games\, activities\, treats\, sugarbush tours\, music\, and so much more. Participating sugar houses are taking steps to follow CDC guidelines and prepare their facilities and staff to welcome guests safely on site. \nMaine Maple Sunday is always the fourth Sunday in March although some sugarhouses are offering events for both Saturday and Sunday. Please be sure to read the description of each sugarhouse to know what times they will be open and the activities they offer. \nMay you and your family enjoy your day!
