The annual Bangor Independence Day celebration starts on July 4th with a pancake breakfast at the Brewer Auditorium from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. This is followed by a parade starting at 11 a.m. The parade route follows Wilson Street to Maine Street and concludes in downtown Bangor. Festivities, including a free concert, continue on the Bangor Waterfront from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., culminating with fireworks over the Penobscot River.
