U.S. National Toboggan Championships

The 32st Annual U.S. National Toboggan Championships are ON!
Welcome once again to the pinnacle of winter competition, celebration and comradeship at the Camden Snow Bowl! Join the fun and register your team now, as space is limited and will sell out by the end of January. Enjoy a weekend in Midcoast Maine with a couple thousand other outdoor enthusiasts, all looking for a bit of fun competing in a unique race everyone can participate in. Click HERE to sign up.
2023 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
THURSDAY, FEB. 2
5-11 p.m. — A Winter Jambourree: Choral, folk, jazz, world, indie, and reggae entertainers. FMI: rockportoperahouse.org
FRIDAY, FEB. 3
10 a.m.-7 p.m. — Snow Bowl open for skiing and snowboarding
Noon-7 p.m. — Team check-in (pick up bib, bracelet) and toboggan inspection in Tobogganville
Noon-4 p.m. — Toboggan chute open to public for practice and fun runs, $10 per person, $5 for racers with bracelets, weather permitting
7:30 p.m. — The David Mallett Band, with special guests The Dinallos. FMI: Camden Opera House
SATURDAY, FEB. 4
7-9 a.m. — 2- and 3-Person check-in (continues) and toboggan inspection in Tobogganville. (Note: Racing starts at 8 a.m.)
7 a.m.-noon — 4-Person and Experimental check-in and toboggan inspection in Tobogganville
ALL 4-PERSON TEAMS MUST BE REGISTERED and INDIVIDUAL RACERS SIGNED-IN BY NOON SATURDAY OR RISK DISQUALIFICATION. RACERS ALSO MUST SIGN WAIVERS ONLINE IN ADVANCE TO AVOID DELAYS.
7 a.m.-5 p.m. — Bus shuttle service from downtown Camden; $5/person (under 12 free) roundtrip; Shuttle bus pick-up downtown Camden at Village Green
8 a.m. — FIRST RUNS for 2- and 3-Person divisions (SECOND RUNS begin AFTER first-run heat is complete for all teams)
9 a.m.-4 p.m. — Snow Bowl open for skiing and snowboarding
10 a.m. (approx.) — SECOND RUNS for 2- and 3-Person division (Optional for fast times)
Noon (approx.) — COSTUME CONTEST PARADE through Tobogganville (with guest judges at scoreboard)
1 p.m. — FIRST RUNS for 4-Person and Experimental divisions
4:30-6:30 p.m. — West Bay Rotary Chili Challenge, 16 Bay View Hotel, lower level banquet room.
SUNDAY, FEB. 5
8 a.m.-4 p.m. — Bus shuttle service from downtown Camden; $5/person roundtrip; Shuttle bus pick-up downtown at Village Green
9 a.m. — SECOND RUNS for 4-Person and Experimental teams (Optional for fast times)
9 a.m.-4 p.m. — Snow Bowl open for skiing and snowboarding
Noon (approx.) — FINAL RUNS – begin with two runs each, 2-Person teams, then proceed with 3-Person, 4-Person and experimental teams
— TOP 40 – 2-Person teams
— TOP 40 – 3-Person teams
— TOP 50 – 4-Person teams
— TOP 25% – Experimental teams
3 p.m. (approx.) — Awards ceremony in Tobogganville at the timing building and chute
