How to Make Pine Needle Tea

March 7, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Free

Yes, the common conifer tree can be used to make a tasty drink! Did you know pine needles contain five times the Vitamin C found in a lemon? It’s also a natural remedy for a sore throat and chest congestion! At this program, you’ll forage for pine needles along the Warren Trail and create a tea to your liking in Lake George’s spacious warming hut. Coaches will provide foraging expertise, as well as tips for making the perfect brew. Come meet new people and warm your soul while learning to make pine needle tea!

If you have your own drinking vessel, we encourage you to bring it, but it is not necessary! All materials will be provided. Meet us at the last parking lot on the West Side.

This is a free community event of the Skowhegan AmeriCorps Outdoor Recreation Program (SAORP) of Main Street Skowhegan in collaboration with Lake George Regional Park.
