The Machias Bay Harvest Fair will be held at Station 1898 – Machias’ vintage railroad station. Color Dash at 9 a.m.(registration is at UMM at 8 a.m.) Pumpkin tossing will change this year to a THROWING contest – bring a 3-5 pound pumpkin and take your best shot! A chili cooking contest and a seagull calling contest are also being added. The Vendor Area opens at 10 a.m. Music begins at noon. Proceeds benefit the continued renovation of the train station. A special two-day Fiber Festival is being held to augment the fair.
